Piddington Women Lose Vote

Jeremy Kyle unpacks an attempt to halt plans to house up to 1,250 asylum seekers near the village of Piddington (Bicester Garrison) have FAILED. A reminder that this is a village of just 350 people. Yesterday the Conservatives forced a Commons vote on the issue. The motion called for the plan to be scrapped and for the UK to leave the ECHR so illegal migrants can be deported. Labour led the vote AGAINST it and defeated it 309 to 113. Every Labour MP who voted said no to blocking it, and the Lib Dems didn't even turn up. The government said similar sites to that at Bicester had operated "for years" with "no evidence of any significant increase in criminality". Calum Miller, who is the MP for Bicester and Woodstock, accused Kemi Badenoch's party of "playing party politics with our local issue". He also argued that leaving the ECHR was not the answer as it would "weaken vital protections for British citizens". Meanwhile we hear the camp will need bat licences to protect endangered species to go ahead say police…

Burnham Looks Like A Wally

Jeremy Kyle discusses a significant clarification, the Director General of MI5 has stated that Russian intelligence and state-sponsored disinformation campaigns did not alter or sway the outcome of the 2016 Brexit referendum. Sir Ken McCallum made clear that the democratic choice of the British public stood on its own two feet. Meanwhile Andy Burnham is also facing a Red Wall resistance over his bid to unpick Brexit and cosy up to Brussels. Labour MPs from Brexit-backing parts of the North and Midlands have warned the PM against reopening the Brexit debate. Meanwhile the head of the Independent Football Regulator (IFR) has vowed to quit if Andy Burnham interferes in its handling of the Manchester City cheating scandal. David Kogan, the IFR chair, issued the ultimatum amid mounting pressure on the Prime Minister over his links to City, who have been found guilty of breaking more than 100 Premier League rules over almost a decade. The PM was also accused of covering up his links to Manchester City after a Sun…

Farage Calls Burnham A 'Liar'

Jeremy Kyle reacts as about 650 more offenders are walking out of jail doors across England and Wales this morning in the second phase of the government’s emergency scheme to tackle the prison capacity crisis. This comes right on the heels of the 700 prisoners who were let out early on October 1st. Hard-working, law-abiding taxpayers are left asking one simple question: are we actually being kept safe? And while we're letting hundreds out, what is life actually like on the inside for those who stay? Unbelievable reports in The Sun today reveal inmates at high-security Belmarsh prison are openly bragging about ordering McDonald's and streaming Netflix on illegal mobile phones—mocking the prison system as being 'more like a holiday camp'. Meanwhile, the political gloves are completely off. Andy Burnham is facing a massive backlash after claiming Russian interference played a role in the 2016 Brexit referendum. Both Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage have blasted the PM’s claims as outright lies, accusing Downing…

Un-Welfare

Ian Collins unpacks an exclusive Times investigation that has uncovered that nearly two million claimants on sickness and disability benefits have gone years without formal re-evaluations or medical checks. The findings raise severe concerns regarding oversight within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), with experts warning that hundreds of thousands may no longer meet the eligibility criteria. It’s also revealed today in The Telegraph how in thousands of local neighbourhoods across England and Wales, more than half of all working-age adults are now relying on out-of-work state benefits, placing mounting fiscal pressure on the Government ahead of the upcoming Budget. Andy Burnham is moving swiftly to abolish mandatory photo identification requirements for voters in upcoming local elections across the region. Critics argue the move undermines electoral integrity rules established to prevent voter fraud, while proponents claim voter ID rules disproportionately disenfranchise vulnerable communities and…
